FGD Forum

 

Sebuah organisasi nirlaba untuk pelaku industri grafika, pengamat grafika, dan institusi akademik, juga para pelaku industri yang terdiri dari desain grafis, fotografi, periklanan, penerbitan, pra cetak, percetakan, pasca cetakan, pengemasan, dan perusahaan converting di Indonesia. Visi dan misi FGD forum adalah untuk memperluas industri grafika, serta ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di dalam perkembangan digital. Peluang dan Tantangan

 

Saat ini, sebagai negara berkembang dengan jumlah penduduk lebih dari 220 juta orang yang tersebar di seluruh kepulauan, Indonesia telah menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang signifikan atas peningkatan kebutuhan akan produk-produk grafika. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari berbagai indikator yang berkaitan langsung dengan industri grafika, seperti:

Periklanan

 

Dari tahun ke tahun terjadi peningkatan jumlah belanja iklan baik sektor swasta maupun pemerintah. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dalam grafik berikut ini:

 

Perusahaan Grafika

 

Menurut catatan PPGI (Persatuan Perusahaan Grafika Indonesia), sejak tahun 1997 terdapat sekitar 25.000 perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang grafika, yang pada tahun 2010 nanti diprediksikan mengalami pertumbuhan hingga mencapai angka 27.500 perusahaan.

 

Industri Pengemasan

 

FPI (Federasi Pengemasan Indonesia) mengungkapkan bahwa minat pelaku usaha untuk melakukan penanaman modal atau ekspansi produksi mereka di Indonesia menunjukkan peningkatan yang cukup drastis. Hal ini disebabkan oleh peningkatan jumlah penduduk Indonesia dan tingkat konsumsi masyarakat yang semakin tinggi.

It also includes experts in professional graphic design, photography, advertising, publishing, pre-press work, along with printing, post-press and packaging services; converting companies in Indonesia. While FGD forum’s Vision and Mission is in fact to promote graphic arts industry, science and technology in digital development, it has also founded strong and mutuallyrewarding relationships with international graphic institutions. Opportunities and Challenges

 

As a developing country with a population of more than 220 million, spread throughout a vast archipelago, Indonesia currently shows significant growth and increasing needs for numerous graphics products. This can be observed from a variety of indicators directly related to the graphics industry, such as advertising, paper consumption, graphics companies and the packaging industry.

 

Advertising

 

Over the years, there has been a steady increase in retail advertising revenues, both in private and governmental sectors, as clearly displayed in the following chart:

 

Graphics Company

 

PPGI or the Indonesian Graphics Industry Association, states that there are approximately 25,000 companies dealing in graphics-related industry since 1997. By 2010, it is predicted that the number of companies will increase to 27,500.

 

Packaging Industry

 

FPI (Federation of Indonesian Packaging Companies) has concluded that packaging businesses in Indonesia has grown steadily due to expansion of plants as well as new investments. These packaging plants answer the increasing demand in consumer goods among Indonesians.
